SriLankan Airlines Cancels Milan Service from Sep 2012; Rome Service Adjustments

As per 11JUN12 GDS inventory display, SriLankan Airlines once again is going ahead with original plan to cancel Milan Malpensa service. Starting 16SEP12, the airline will terminate service to Milan Malpensa, however it will maintain Rome operation, continuing 3 weekly flights.

UL571 also operated by A340-300 on selected days.

The airline in April 2012 planned to cancel Italy service, but decision was reversed after a request was made from the country?s President to keep the link for tourism and economic growth. However, in the latest plan, the airline opt to cancel service to Milan, but will keep Rome.
