HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 8 (ACN) An Internet forum on the impact by the over-50-year US economic blockade of Cuba is taking place Thursday, as called by the Cuban United Nations Association.
Civil society personalities, lawyers, scientists, historians, economists and other professionals will answer questions and comments already posted on the forum?s pages by visitors from other countries , PL news agency reported.
The initiative, which opened last November , will focus on the damage inflicted by the US unilateral measure on the Caribbean island nation and it aims calling the attention of the world public opinion on a hostile policy whose repercussion on the Cuban people, calculated at one trillion 66 billion dollars.
The UN General Assembly will vote, next Tuesday, a Cuban resolution demanding the lifting of the US blockade of the island. The document has been overwhelmingly backed year after year since it was first submitted to the United Nations in 1992.
