Acer releases app to hurry the ICS-ification of Iconia slates (video)
Patience, they say, is a virtue. Try telling that to a tech-savvy tablet owner, whose friend already got an ICS update. Acer started pushing out an Android 4 update to lucky Iconia 500 owners earlier in the week, but for those who've yet to receive it, all is not lost. Who said weekends are only for going out? MTV sure doesn't think so, as the network is introducing a new special, MTV Sleepover, centered around watching movies with your friends. Hosted by Lenay Dunn, MTV Sleepover will air on Friday and Saturday nights from 10pm to 12:30am, with Lenay and her pals offering commentary, fashion tips and general girl talk!
According to Lenay, who is the host of MTV's hit show 10 on Top, "MTV Sleepover is like a big party in your pajamas. Its me and my girlfriends watching movies, skyping in friends and celeb guests in PJs, and a few surprises also."
The adorable blonde (she's the face of Macy's American Rag line) says the show will also explore a previously uncharted area of style, "We are showing a lot of 'PJ fashion' which isn't done often in a show of this format. Our stylist has brought in some of the cutest looks."

Square's feeling good, on pace to take $5 billion in payments per year
Despite growing competition from PayPal, Intuit and Verifone, it appears that Square's business is still going gangbusters. The grandaddy of all smartphone payment systems is set to take $5 billion in payments this year, up from $2 billion a scant six months ago. According to company COO Keith Rabois, such expansive growth has been fostered by the fact that Square makes the cash from transactions available to merchants the next business day -- a feature greatly appreciated by small businesses. Clearly, Huey Lewis was right, and you can see what we mean after the break.
